You are in a hotel room with one bathroom. Turn the shower on, use some poo-pourie or whatever that stuff is, sing so you can't hear him, and let him go.

You can't always "wait" to poop. The mistake was telling DW that she could have the bathroom first. Pooping takes precedence. Get it done (everyone) and then move on to the showering.

We have one bathroom and this particular negotiation was established on Day 1.

Have you never had to negotiate this in the past? I guess I'm most surprised that you are married with a kid and don't have a routine for this ...

(IMO, the person who requires the greater deal of privacy wins out in this situation. Next time, he should wait until you are done in the shower.)

It would have been totally normal with my Dh...but we are now divorced. I think next relationship, I'll want to keep pooping separate. However, i wouldn't ever get so upset that I'd need to post on DCUM about something so normal.

Neither one of you is wrong. You have different feelings about sharing a bathroom while pooping. He expressed his, you expressed yours, you left him to poop alone. I don't see why you would continue to be upset about this.

DH, DC and I were staying at a hotel in a suite. One bathroom.


In the morning, DH told me to shower first since I take longer than he does. I went into the bathroom, put my hair back, put on A shower cap. I was just about to get into the shower when DH push through the door and said can I come in? I asked why and he said he needed to poop. In other words, he intended to poop while I was 2 feet away from the toilet, taking a shower.

I got angry with him because I think it's disgusting to expect anyone to be in his presence while he's pooping. I left the bathroom while he did his business, then went back in to take my shower.

Am I wrong, or was he?
