Do not mention it is height. Ladies, would you want a guy telling you that you were too fat too date? Just ghost him. People ghost pre-first-date all the time. Don't waste his time with a date and don't tell him he's too short.

Everyone has their thing. It's not right or wrong. If you know it and own it, then what's the big deal.

I am taller than my husband when I wear heels and it doesn't bother us.

And I sincerely hope that my very short son will meet a woman who doesn't mind being taller than him!!!

FUN FACT: You get your height from your mother so your son won't have to worry

Just message him and say I noticed your profile says you are 5'6. I'm 6'0 and I am attracted to men that are taller than me. This isn't going to work for me. Good luck in finding someone special.

NP. There's no need to say the issue is height, especially if the issue isn't only height (i.e., it sounds like he was deceptive about his height, which is another issue).

Just politely tell him that he's a nice guy, but you're not interested. You don't owe him a detailed explanation.

I think better to mention it is height and not some personality quirk that he might think he can change. OP isn't positive he was deceptive, so that seems irrelevant.

Here's the rule about online dating and height claims. Any guy who says he's over 6 foot (6'1 or taller) is telling the truth. The other guys round up to the nearest even inch. Any guy who says he's 6 foot even if probably 5'10, and any guy who says he's 5'8 is 5'6.

4" is too much. Cancel. He's also probably lying if he says 5'10". I bet he's really like 5'8.5"

Do taller women prefer a longer penis?

Not a good way to start a relationship - meet to confirm and then dump him.

I am very tall. I check profiles 2-3 times for height and other things before I reply. I swear this guy's profile said he was my height, but after we started texting, I reread it again, and noticed it said he was 4 inches shorter. I think 4 inches is a huge deal, because if I wear heels during a relationship, I am going to be 6+ inches taller.

It is possible I missed it. But it is also possible that detail was changed before and after he messaged me the first time and we started chatting.

We are supposed to meet soon. I am turned off at this point. What do I do? Meet up? Come up with a lame excuse?
