My mother did this several times with my nephew's bottles when she was watching him. She was leaving the bottles in the bottle warmer way too freaking long because she'd regularly not be ready to give him the bottle yet or would get distracted. She'd overheat them so they'd be cooled down to the "right" temp by the time she was ready to feed them. She'd not only waste breastmilk but destroyed a whole bunch of bottles. Not good.
