Love it! Go to a med spa that is part of a plastic surgeons office if you can. You will pay more but it's worth it. I started a year ago at 45. I go every 3-4 months and get 20 units between my eyes. I got 25 once but had a slight headache for about 3 weeks after.

Please share your recommendations for good places that have reasonable prices. Thanks!

OP please make sure you are going somewhere GOOD. Not just using a groupon. It can take a few attempts to get it the way you want. After a week or so if you still are not happy they should try to do more/diferent to get it right. Start with the least amount, you can always add more. I started botox at 32, now 43 and have no deep or permanent "11" lines around 40 I started on my forehead. Found a very good nurse who does the forehead so I still have some movement but no real lines/wrinkles. My regret is not doing the crows feet starting at age 30. You CANNOT fix those once they set in. The few times I have tried to botox them, I end up with a weird bag under my eye.

$300 for 2 areas, theyou were having a $150/area special (normally $250). Plastic surgeon.

Most places price by the unit and seem to be $10-$12/unit.

I am 38 and thinking of getting botox for first time. How much was it? How soon does it start working? I can't wait to hear!

No. Very small needle. Tiny pinch. On the 0-10 scale, maybe a 0.5

No, just feels like a pinch, then it's over.

Good luck, you'll love it! Started at 33, now 35. I'm still aging and have a few small wrinkles here and there, but I'm really happy with how I look and how it helped with my 11s.

I started at 37 because my 11s made me look angry all of the time. I love it!

That's not really how it works. Once the wrinkles are permanent (vs just when you move your face), botox can lighten them and prevent them from getting worse, but it can't remove existing deep set wrinkles. You have to use a filler for that. Prevention is definitely the way to go if you are comfortable with it.

Finally pulled the trigger and made an appointment to get Botox. The main area I want it is my 11's, especially for prevention going forward, but I think I'm also going to have my forehead lines done.

We've been doing a lot more video conference calls for work lately and it really made me realize how evident those frown/scowl lines are, even when I'm just thinking. It makes me look pissed way more often than I am. My company's culture is one where niceness and being positive are highly valued. I actually think this is going to be a positive thing for me professionally (beyond the vain wrinkle prevention), to have a little bit more of a poker face in meetings.

If you've done it, how old were you when you started? Do you keep up with it stoll?
