Uppa Baby Ultra Light has a strap and can stand up on its own. I loved mine.

+1. Plus it can stand on its own w/o leaning on a wall, etc.

I got a yoga mat carrier for our umbrella stroller, like of like this: https://www.amazon.com/Manduka-Play-Yoga-Mat-Black/dp/B00K8QI59Y/ref=lp_1240801011_1_5?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1491319671&sr=1-5

So when needed I can sling the stroller over my shoulder and keep my hands free.

I loooove my Maclaren Quest, but it is heavy and cumbersome to carry with the strap. Unless some of the other models are much different, I wouldn't recommend it for ease of carrying.

PP here, was thinking something smaller and more basic than the Quest, like the Volo.

If it's just for occasional travel, what about the Quinny Yezz? It has wheels like rollerblades. I wouldn't use it as an every day umbrella, though. One of my friends swears by hers.

I have a soft structured carrier that I use most of the time. Looking for a stroller that can easily be carried on the bus when I'm going out for a long trip and my back needs a break.

Babyzen Yoyo. Not a backpack but it has a shoulder strap and you can wear it like a purse when folded.

It's not really an umbrella style fold but the Baby Jogger City Tour is very small and lightweight. It comes with a little backpack to put it into when you fold it up. The backpack then zips up into the basket when you're not using it. I also had a Maclaren with a strap but they were much bigger and harder to wear like that.

Looking for something lightweight, with straps so you can wear it like a backpack when it's folded up. Recommendations?
