It sounds to me like you have some self-esteem issues and you feel that you are "low-grade" ... you need to work on that.

I am a double Ivy grad and my wife is a HS grad. She is beautiful, smart, and caring. I feel like she is an upgrade from me and I am blessed to have her.

I've not seen this attitude among my Ivy educated friends. Granted, I attended an HBCU undergrad and then attended Ivy and Ivy level institutions for graduate school. My BF is a Harvard grad and I have never gotten this impression. If anything it's the opposite on his part, while I view us as equal in regards to education and accomplishment.

There is a small, minority of men who feel this way. But it's mostly a family status thing. Generally, men care way less about this stuff than women do.

A state school educated woman stands a much better chance with Ivy men than the other way around.
