I really enjoyed the episode too! Should be interesting to see how the team dynamics play out this season. I like the cop/firefighter team and I'm hoping beard guy is out next round. The mountain climber girl is annoying too but her teammate seems so easy going so he can probably put up with her better than I would.

No, on our TiVo we already had a OnePass for The Amazing Race and it was not scheduled to record. We had to add a separate OnePass for The Amazing Race 29. We never had to do that for previous seasons.

I really enjoyed the first episode! Last season with the social media goofs is the only season I didn't watch - couldn't stand it! The way they picked partners seemed fair. Off to a good start this time!

For DVR purposes, it has a new title, so an existing season pass won't work. Just keep it as "Amazing Race" and don't give it a new number each year.

I'm glad that if they're going to do random pairings, everyone was random-not the half and half attempt at blind dates they did a while back.

My DVR didn't pick it up either (it's labeled AR 29 instead of just AR) but luckily I saw a promo for it so added it.

Early favorites for me are Team Fun, olive and her partner, the two women, and the team with two guys (with the vet with a prosthetic leg).

I really liked this premiere and think it's going to be a good season. I didn't watch last season because all the social media "stars" were so stupidly annoying. This looks like a promising group.

Had to say, I was glad Team Longhair got the boot. Both of them had the most annoying voices EVER. I'm rooting for Olive and her partner (can't remember his name), and maybe the very awkward woman and her partner, "Erkel." Those two couldn't have made a better match!! They're hysterical.

Why not just record it? We DVR'd it and watched it tonight with the kids.

I like that so many contestants are in good physical shape and not weird Youtube celebrities or whatever.

We just discovered this, too. It wasn't on CBS and the title changed slightly (something like Amazing Race 29) so the DVR didnt pick it up.

I love the format of singles getting to choose who their teammate will be based on the results of the first challenge.

I am picking Matt & Redmond to win, second choice is Jessie and Francesca.

I sure thought the genius with the beard was going home, however I didn't care much for the long hairs either, so whatever to them!
