Yep I heard they were considering sending part of Rachel Carson to Dufief - which would then mean Wootton. I hadn't heard about Gaithersburg HS.
THe planning document is kept relatively up to date - http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/planning/
I don't think anyone in the Wootton cluster is in danger of being zoned out of it. Rather, other areas will more than likely get zoned into it since Wootton cluster is under capacity overall, and continue to be so in the future.
Here's the planning doc for Gaithersburg HS:
http://gis.mcpsmd.org/cipmasterpdfs/CIP18_Chap4_Gaithersburg.pdf
Looks like GHS may get rezoned with Sherwood and MacGruder.
Dufief planinng:
http://gis.mcpsmd.org/cipmasterpdfs/CIP18_Chap4_Wootton.pdf
"Planning Issue: Projections indicate that enrollment at Rachel
Carson Elementary School will exceed capacity by 92 seats or
more by the end of the six-year planning period. To address
the high enrollment at Rachel Carson Elementary School,
the Board of Education approved the expansion of DuFief
Elementary School to accommodate the overutilization of
Rachel Carson Elementary School"

When you say Current administration do you mean the Washington or do you mean
County level?
