I'm having the same dilemna. We are thinking about waiting a year and see if DD likes TJ. She might find out that TJ is not a good fit and want to go back to base HS.

Why? It might be premature if they don't know if they've been accepted. But I would certainly move if my child applies and gets in. Why make them ride a bus for an hour if there are other options? Even if they have other kids, decent schools like Lake Braddock and Woodson feeders are not that far from TJ.
