Are you also in favor of banning the saying "spick-and-span?" Will you start a thread about the racism of the English language for using the words "black" and "dark" to mean negative things?
The show isn't called, 'Mick' or 'Mickey' its called THE MICK. Dougie Houser wasn't called, 'The Dougie'; Mary Tyler Moore wasn't called, 'The Mary'.
I would think a show called, 'The Dark One' about a black person was kind of racist too. Spick and span is in no way shape or way referring to a human being, its a colloquialism that means clean.

Was Dark Angel from the early-aughts racist because it starred a darker-than-pale, half-Mexican woman?
Well dark angel is not a known racial slur, so no. And dark, when used as a slur and not it's myriad of other meanings (unlike Mick which is just a name or a slur) is used to insult black people so no I don't think that counts.
