I think there is skiing in Camelback and also in Greek Peak. Never been to either. Does anyone know which is nicer? Hope Lake Lodge or Camelback for accommodations?

That said, in all honesty I think you are being overly ambitious/optimistic, especially if you don't want to fly somewhere. You really want to book lodging, put 2 kids in the car, drive 9-10 hours all by yourself, each way, in the hopes that maybe MAYBE there will be decent skiing when you get there?
If it were me, I wouldn't do it.
