You are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to pay taxes on ANY lottery winnings. Federal and state if your state has an income tax.

I'd spend $200 on me. $300 on something fun for the family (without telling them ahead of time. Like a hotel room with indoor pool for the night) and $500 in savings.
