Subject: Wed 2 hour delay for FCPS

I assume you're talking middle school or high school. If so, they still go to all classes, they're just shorter. If it's ES, that's totally dependent on your school.

Elementary strings teacher here. At my schools, anything prior to the delayed school start time is cancelled, anything after is a go. If you're still unsure, doesn't hurt to send it.

I don't think they'll reevaluate and then close. It didn't say anything about that in the delay notice. If they were planning on reevaluating in the morning, wouldn't they say that in order to give a "head's up"?

There have been 2-hour delays already this year. Ask your daughter what's been done on those days. At our school, we pick up where the schedule would be at the delayed opening time.
That's the thing, never on strings day, the irony. If anyone has experienced this one please let me know. Thank you all
Err on the side of bringing the instrument. The strings teacher may adjust to get everyone in. And if not, there's no harm in bringing the instrument.

There have been 2-hour delays already this year. Ask your daughter what's been done on those days. At our school, we pick up where the schedule would be at the delayed opening time.

I think they are waiting to see if the weathermen are correct. If the temperatures drop and everything freezes, they will close.

That's what my kids said! But in this case, I don't think new conditions will develop to warrant this, is this correct?
