I believe it has a lot to do with peer grouping and the home environment/parents. There are so many parents in the W schools who supplement their children's educations with tutors and other educational supplements. We are at a W school and I've had to pay for many tutors over the years because my kids were not getting the support at school. Every school has their share of good educators and not so good educators-period.

That isn't to say that some special program might not be better for some specific kid but those are typically competive and targeted for specific small groups and all one has to do for Pyle is move there which is it's own from of competitive.

So, Q: what makes it the best? A: high test scores. Well, if that's your opinion on how to define best, then ok. I have a different opinion, but we all get to have our own opinions.
Yes that why it was stated as (the consensus). There will always be people who ignore criteria and statistics while inflating arbitrary intangibles to inflate something that they care about to arrive at a preconceived "opinion". But when the people who are not involved universally rank something higher the majority of the time, that is when it becomes a consensus. That allows you to have your opinion, it just classifies it as an uninformed outlining case of sour grapes.
