I'm changing careers and currently in an externship program, so I don't feel comfortable taking off. If I was settled into a job and could do it, I would.

My husband would gladly take the day off. He'd gladly be a SAHD too.

No. The logic behind this and the recent immigrant day escape me. You are inconveniencing and "making a statement" to people who presumably support and care about you (spouse, children, employer) and no one else cares.

The march made a statement but these days are grasping at straws.

No. I'm not stopping my life or taking care of my kids over something disorganized that makes no sense when you really think about the contradictions. My husband can easily take care of our child and does often but its not the point.

Yes. My h and children will be fine taking care of themselves for 24 hours.

I have volunteer work I am doing, I will support women owned businesses and wear red.

I also wore red on February 3rd... National Wear Red Day for women's heart health and Cardiovascular disease.

I try to support local businesses in general and especially on on local business day, my H does not shave for no shave November, I march for multiple types of cancer, I don't really feel this day is any different than those days and many others.

I don't know why people are freaking out.

I'm a woman owned small biz (public relations firm) and we are closed on the 8th. We let our clients know the day it was announced. I'm donating what my daily salary would break down to, to Planned Parenthood, and a handful of clients have agreed to match that amount. And of course, in solidarity, I'll be wearing red.

I'd like a day off from my family, but don't think that's possible.

I'm going to work as usual.

I'm just curious about how many are considering this. I'm going on vacation next week, so it's not really an option for me, and in our office, which is just 20 percent women, it probably wouldn't even be noticed.
