Yes, Canaan and Snowshoe, both usually get lots of natural snow and are able to make more due to their colder temps. That said, last year wasn't a good year for any of the mid-atlantic ski resorts. You won't have cell service probably the last hour of the drive and not at all once you are there. Texts only come through when you are in a pocket with wifi. I would plan to arrive during daylight if possible.
