PP- would you please explain why you'd rather be in Olney (I'm assuming Sherwood) or RM vs Rockville High? My husband and I are looking at Sherwood and Rockville as well.

$650 max
With that budget, you can buy in the City of Rockville and send your kid to College Gardens. And end up at Richard Montgomery.
Or what about Olney?
We are zoned for Rockville HS but our budget was $450K. If we had the extra money, we would have chosen one of those options TBH.

By the way, I graduated years ago from RHS, and I know plenty of people who want to move back to the area so that they can send their kids to RHS. It's the smallest HS in MCPS and has a great tight-knit community. Honestly I feel like it's one of the most underrated schools in the area. Lots of older people are starting to leave the neighborhood which is making way for new families to come in. Rock Creek VAlley, Lucy Barnsley, and Flower Valley are great schools. Same with Wood MS.

Anonymous wrote:Not necessarily the middle and high schools. But there have been several threads on here recently about Flower Valley ES and Lucy Barnsley ES, which feeds into Wood and Rockville.
The feedback seemed to be pretty positive on both schools.
The one comment about Rockville HS, is that it's a small cluster and it sounded like students stuck in their same cohort from kindergarten to 12th grade.
Don't recall seeing many comments about Wood MS on here.
Don't know too much about the other schools. Is ES a factor or are your kids already MS and HS age?
