Like Ryan with a K. I don't know which gender I would assume. Looks feminine to be, but sounds masculine if pronounced the way I said. A friend just named her son Kaien, which is pronounced "Kyan," but her husband is Japanese.

I think I have a friend who this is her son's name, it's pronounced "Geen"? It's a Chinese name? I know how to say his name when I see him, I can't remember the spelling, but I know that I didn't understand it at the time.

I know someone with a boy spelled "Kaiyan" pronounced "KEYE (like "eye") - yawn". Parents are both from a different culture (neither are white US-ian and not from the same culture as the other spouse).
