This is not an employee's child.


Their might be very good reasons for the child attending the school. They might be homeless, might have child care in the area, might have pupil placement for some other reason. Why would you want to harm a child by reporting this??



If there is a good reason, APS can sort that out. People are always telling me how well my child will do at their very low rated school. I'm sure this child will be just fine at whatever school they are zoned for.

I can see someone reporting my daughter because her dad drives her to school and he lives in Alexandria. But I have primary custody and I live in Arlington, so she attends school using my address.


yep. There are a variety of ways this can be appropriate. Ex kids who are homeless, kids in foster care, etc. can continue to attend school in Arlington even if they are currently residing outside of Arlington.
Kids can have nannies/ extended relatives with out of Arlington car stickers dropping them off.
That being said- if the family is using a false address, and you report it- APS does follow up- it will visit the address in the evening,etc. Either way they won't get back to you.
