Hi, kids at Patriot High School in PWC.
All classes meet every other day. There are "odd" and "even" days. On even days, blocks 2, 4, and 6 take place. On odd days, blocks 1, 3, 5, and 7 meet. Each class is an hour and a half long. On even days, in addition to normal classes, there are two 45 minute "flex" blocks. These blocks are used for additional class time, retakes/makeups, etc, and it is rotated which classes you attend during those flex blocks. (Ex. On the first even day there would be flex 1 & 2, on the next one there would be flex 3 & 4, etc.) It's tricky to understand, but you can basically just think of it as additional classtime.
As mentioned, these classes meet every other day. On some weeks, there may be 3 even days and 2 odd days. On other weeks, it's vice versa.
There is no homeroom in the traditional sense at Patriot. Technically, your 1st block is your homeroom, but there is no special time allocated for typical homeroom duties within that period.
And yes, all students follow this schedule regardless of class type. This means that, for example, a child's PE class has as much instructional time as his or her's AP Chemistry class over the course of the year.
I must note, though, that all the high schools seem to operate on schedules with slight variances. No two are exactly the same.

Well it depends. My DD and DS atttend 1st period for about 45 minutes every day then 2,4,6 or 3,5,7....
They attend Garfield High School. for about 90 minutes or so and yes, the other classes meet every alternate day expect for 1st period.
So for subjects like AP English and Math, they only meet every other day? What subject meets for 45 minutes daily? Is it the same for all kids?

Well it depends. My DD and DS atttend 1st period for about 45 minutes every day then 2,4,6 or 3,5,7....
They attend Garfield High School. for about 90 minutes or so and yes, the other classes meet every alternate day expect for 1st period.
