I remember a sub in a FCPS ES in the late 80s who treated the class like we were in the military. Barking orders. Making us stand against the wall forever until we were all doing it. He had big puffy white-hair. We were terrified when he subbed!

In 8th grade (this was 1988 or so) we had a sub who was probably in his 70s. I had a classmate with a name like...Jackie, a feminine version of a boy's name. She had short hair, cut in a style more typically for boys. At the time, this wasn't even in question, but I don't think she was transgender or anything. Anyway, the sub insisted she was a boy, would only call her Jack, and didn't believe when she told him she was a "she," and not a "he." The whole class was like "dude, she's a girl." He thought we were pranking him. So weird.

In my public middle school, back in the day, we suddenly had a substitute teacher every day. One week in, we were all wondering WTH?? Two weeks in, we saw that the teacher had been arrested for murdering a minister and his wife. I sometimes wonder whatever happened to the teacher. Ah, the 70s.

That is funny. Show his (young) age.
