FFS. No. We don't grant teachers, cops, firemen, etc. RPP like permits. Them first if we are handing out special RPP categories.

No way. Horrible idea for those of us in dense areas. Adams Morgan? Logan? H Street? Only someone who lives in Woodridge or deepest Ward 3 would think this was a good idea.

This would make parking even worse. Areas with Residential Parking Permits are already very difficult to find parking. This would make it worse.
Two days ago, Councilmembers R. White, Nadeau, and Todd introduced the Small Business Parking Permit Act of 2017, which allows “Any small business that abuts a block the Director has designated for residential permit parking . . . to obtain small business parking permits. . . . The rights and restrictions of a small business parking permit shall be the same as the rights and restrictions applied to a residential parking permit except that holders of a small business parking permit shall not be allowed to obtain temporary or visitor permits.” Businesses with up to ten employees are eligible, and can apply for a permit for every employee.
