Ok, this is op. Thanks fo everyone who replied. I saw it last night and liked it a lot more than the first movie. Better character interaction and some extremely fun scenes.

I can't recall every hearing about the first movie! But now I see ads for this second one all the time. I actually thought to myself, "Is this the first and they're trying to be tricky/creative with the title by including '2'?"

I saw it yesterday with my husband. I enjoyed it. It's violent, for sure, but a very solid action movie with a plot and good pacing. Keanu Reeves still has it.

Female here. I saw the first John Wick movie. Its formulaic with no insights or challenges. But it was fine, as an action flick.

TBH I was genuinely surprised they signed off on a sequel. But I'm guessing its just more of the same.

And yes, I'll probably watch it. Keanu Reeves is pretty good these days.

The whole point of John Wick was to remind us all that Keanu Reeves kicks ass extremely well. The director's movie experience prior to this is as a stunt guy. Imo, it's amazing that it turned out so well with the level of world building and characterization it had in the hands of someone with very little experience running the show.

I had a difficult time with the beginning. As in sobbing. It was hard for me to get into it for about 20 minutes after that. I'm pretty sensitive to kids and animals and well, this type of situation. I thought the movie was ok, suffering from extremely poor/limited use of amazing supporting characters. I guess I'm asking if there is more character interaction / emotion.

Did you enjoy it?

Is this more than 90 minutes of killing people? Is there an engaging plot? Good characters? Humor? Friendship in the bloodbath?

Thanks.
