Yes, the media and the police have reported all three girls knew each other.

This reminds me of the case a few years ago where MS13 murdered another teen girl and left her in the woods in Stafford. That took a while to find suspects. There were girls involved in that case too that help lure her so their boyfriends could kill her.

DH and I were watching the news during that "interview", and both thought it was bizarre. The reporter started off in the living room with the mother, who had a face of stone and was just staring at the floor like she did not want to be there. She didn't say a word. The reporter remarked that the girl had just come home and was being questioned by police. He proceeded to show us her bedroom and then the "interview" was over.



I would get by that point the family had been threatened. The other family never appeared on camera while their daughter and grandson were missing. It was only the police that provided updates.

I don't think either of the two previously missing girls were arrested. One was the ex of someone else murdered and one was involved with one of the guys arrested. Sounds like they were both scared and ran.


The one without a baby was taken into custody after she came home on Tuesday. The girls were not in hiding, they were with the gang members that have been arrested. The one with the baby of the gang member went with him.

It doesn't sound like the two girls participated in the murder, but they did know her and they most likely knew what happened to her.

Agreed.

The two girls who left home and I presume went into hiding seems like they did the right thing sad to say. At least they are alive and the police are involved and seems to have caught some of the gang members.

I've been reading about this and it is absolutely horrifying how these teens have gotten so way in over their heads - to the point of disappearing for weeks, even months.

There is fairly regular foot traffic around that lake - people exercising, hanging out by the marina, fishing, etc. Neighborhood houses back to Lake Accotink Park. I just can not wrap my head around how that poor 15 year girl was brutally assaulted and murdered at that park apparently by a gang.

This is scary, scary stuff.

I saw on the news this morning that the police had connected the cases of three missing teen girls. Two recently returned to their homes. One 15-year old was murdered. There are currently nine people in custody, most are under 18. I just cannot fathom people who hold no regard for human life.
