That's exactly what I picture a Casey to be.

I love the name for a boy and don't think it's childish. I prefer it to Brayden.

I like it as a standalone name, but love it as this nickname.

I will say I have a LOT of Cassie/Cassy/Kacie/Kasey girls coming through my room lately.

I would think Cassie and Cassy would be pronounced different than Kacie, Kasey, Casey.

I think Cassie and Cassy would rhyme with sassy. And would most likely be a nickname for Cassandra.
Kacie, Kasey, Casey would rhyme with Macy.

I was very confused when I first heard his name in roll call. Casey Diaz? Quesadillas?

LOL! If your last name isn't Diaz, I think Casey is fine for an adult - like Carey.

I had a friend growing up with the name Kevin Charles and he was called Casey (K.C.). Something like that might work and also give your child a number of options as he grows up.

If you use the name, plan to skip baseball.

Feels kind of 80's to me, but that might be because it makes me think of Casey Jones from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It's not awful, but if you like it I'd try to think of more formal names that can be shortened to Casey rather than giving a name that sounds like a nickname as a given name. How 'bout Cassius?

I love the name, but I'm stuck on the issue that it feels like a kid name and not a name for a man? Thoughts?
