Since this is a research-based science competition for High Schools, your kid would need to go thru his/her school to enter the competition.
Or if you live in MoCo, he/she can apply to get into the Blair Magnet program and have a change to compete in those contests.

Four finalists from the area. 3 in MoCo, MD (2 @ Blair, 1 @ Whitman) and 1 in VA (TJ)

Blair HS has 2 finalists in this year Regeneron Science Talent Search (Previously: Intel Science Talent Search). Blair still leading the pack with more finalists than any other schools in the U.S.
