Saguaro! Not far from the Tuscon airport. When we went it was warm enough for pleasant hiking during the daytime and for swimming/eating outside in the late afternoon and early evening. Then it cooled down at night and we went in the hot tub!

Agree it's a great time for Grand Canyon but might be tough to get reservations now. Saguaro national park and painted desert/petrified forest are all in Arizona. Or maybe Zion or Bryce? All the southwestern ones would have nice weather. Or the Alamo? Anything else in Texas? Or Louisiana?



Bryce will be cold. Zion would be good if you're ok with not hiking the Narrows.


we were at Bryce and Zion in late May on year. Bryce was freezing and it snowed! Zion was in the 80's. It's crazy what elevation can do!

spring break is a really tough time of year for national parks. most are still pretty cold then.

Arches might be nice that time of year or Zion.

Any of them? I don't think you can go wrong.

I just saw some pictures of Acadia National Park and now that's on my list to visit one day. Probably in the summer though, might be cold at spring break.

We did the Everglades for spring break a few years ago. I'm not sure when your spring break is but the year we did it, it was kind of late--mid April. It was HOT and there were a lot of mosquitos, I think a few weeks earlier would have been better. But it was still amazing.
We camped, which is when we experienced the most mosquitos. If you stay in a hotel and are only out during the day you won't have as many issues.

Could someone recommend a National Park that is good to visit during spring break?
My 7 year-old son is very interested in visiting National Parks, so I'm looking for one.
