Birthing classes were a waste of time and money for me. Baby was breech and I had to have a c section. I would definitely hold it until you were sure that the baby would not turn.

Took a baby CPR class at Sibley and at the end, the nurses said that they did in-home classes too. I would have paid 3x the money of the group class for DH and I to have someone come to our house!!! The group class took FOREVER to teach what probably takes 20 min max to teach one on one.

We did a class through Stork. We had them come to our house to teach the class and the grandparents participated too. I thought it was good, not great. DH and I knew nothing about babies so we learned a lot.

What kind of labor and delivery are you hoping for? Unmedicated? Low intervention? Epidural in the hospital parking lot?

You don't need birthing classes when there's YouTube. Watch videos and the nurses will tell you what to do anyway.

Me too. It's not one-day, but she does have shorter classes in a "weekend intensive" format. And she's fabulous.

Need suggestions for a birthing class and infant CPR class. Live in Maryland but can go anywhere in the DC area. Preferably not too expensive and not a multi week thing, would love to do a one day thing! Looked at Stork: Childbirth Education any opinions on their classes? Thanks in advance!
