Shameful that they the governor took the authority away from local districts to do what works best for their students to essentially create a longer vacation season to benefit eastern shore.

I doubt it will be approved since MCPS did the exact same thing and was denied. But who knows.

I thought all schools in Maryland will be starting after Labor Day. They really need to get this figured out because camp registrations and vacation deposits are happening now.

Under the BOE meeting section on www.PGCPS.org, there is a Board Action Summary proposing schools start on August 22nd. It looks as though it hasn't been fully adopted yet.

the post labor day calendar is not longer available. Any word if school will start before or after labor day?
