I have a friend out in LA who works with immigrants and refugees. She is a minister in her church.

Apparently, at the SoCal border crossings people trying to enter as lawful permanent residents are being asked to sign for I-407.

I-407 is the form you sign to acknowledge the voluntary relinquishment of your permanent residency status.

If this is true, these actions fall way beyond what Trump is leading you to believe. It is unconscionable to engage in this sort of fraud.

It is the US Marshal service. Only one "L".

There are apparently 3 court orders against CBP at LAX. That indicates some sort of problem there.

This is horrible.

I still can't figure out what is going on at Dulles, but it seems like there may be some problems, still.

I'm not seeing this reported anywhere else except by this twitter account. Things are really confusing on the ground, so I would not put stock into this until you start hearing from the lawyers themselves. (This is not to say that CPB isn't dragging its feet, just that I have not seen anything corroborating that I would expect to see yet.)

CBP is under DHS, the US Marshalls and the US Attorney are under DOJ.

The CBP seems to be in bunker mentality right now, hide and don't talk to anyone. I'd be surprised if Kelly even knows what they're doing, at each airport.

I read through the comments. This is an amazing failure of govenment. It's a major crisis in LAX right now, that will eventually get resolved, but in the meantime, real people are being harmed. By our government, by CBP, the uncooperative US Marshalls, and the cowardly US Attorney.

Weird. It's not like the AG is going to advise them to go against a court order. Of all people, the AG wouldn't.

Trump's AG would.
