In the District they usually have to be 2.5 by September (I have not researched any programs outside the city). Some schools have a mid-year 2's class that starts in January, so your DC would be able to start next January if they don't make the cut off for this fall.

If your kid is 2 by Sept 1 which he or she is, you can start preschool.

Google is your friend. Put in your new home address. Click on "nearby" then type "preschool." Look for preschool closest to you, and start calling or surf their websites.

Hi- Im moving to either Rockville or Potomac in September. My little one turns 2 in June. Are there preschool programs for 2 yr olds or do they have to be 2.5 or 3? Where Im moving from preschool doesnt start until 2.5-3. Thanks!
