2009. 328i. Thanks in advance.

Order these: Philips H7 Vision Upgrade Headlight Bulb, 2 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P2D4BPA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6xlKybVB6S6YF

Replace both, because in my experience paired lights tend to burn out within a month of each other.

put your phone down and go change a light bulb

We don't live anywhere near a car parts store. Would require driving to the burbs to buy the bulb then driving home and hoping we can manage to do it.

there are plenty of auto parts stores in dc, just turn the other direction someday instead of always going to the nice parts of town. I am sure that is beneath your "busy folks" Even if you do drive out to the burbs, I never thought Bethesda was the burbs or Silver Spring.

Many of those auto places put the bulb in for you..

How many DCUMers does it take to change a light bulb?

Are you just talking about the bulb? OP, this is really easy.

You and your DH both sound like you don't know a whole lot about cars. In your case, I would stick to the dealer or a trusted foreign mechanic (they will use BMW parts). Reinharts Garage in Arlington is great.

I don't think BMW will use a better bulb.

My husband has done mine too. So expensive at the dealership.

The bulb or the assembly?

My husband did mine. The bulb is obviously easier, but you can do both, which means an independent mechanic can do it. You can get instructions on bimmer forums, if you want to DIY.

Headlight is burning out. Can you replace at a service station or do you need to take to the BMW dealership? BMW dealership is quoting up to $200
