No. What you received may have been a UPS SurePost package. That's usually how your orders with free shipping get shipped. It starts off with UPS, then UPS delivers it to your local post office and your mailman delivers it to your home. If your mail was being held by the post office, then your SurePost package will also be held.

Check the tracking info from the store - that should specify how the package is being shipped.

If you have a regular UPS package, you'll have to use the UPS website and pay the fee.

fedex will hold for free. ups charges $5 but totally worth it.

Omg no. No. no. USPS barely can communicate with itself.

I think in the past maybe you had a package that was shipped by ups to start and then handed off to usps for delivery. Problem is that you have no control over when this happens.

No, I don't think so. When we put a hold on our mail, we usually ask a neighbor to pick up any UPS or FedEx packages that are left at our house.

Did you check the website?

One thing you can do is reroute packages to be delivered somewhere else.

I recall this is the case, but I would like to confirm. In the past, when I place a hold on my U.S> mail, my UPS packages get held without paying the $5 fee on the UPS website. Thanks!
