I have not heard about the new Benjamin Tasker TAG Program. When will this program open? Will it be in Fall 2018? How will you know if your address qualifies?

Impressive!

Most kids living in Bowie no longer feed into Kenmoor TAG program. They will go to Tasker's new TAG program, which I have heard good things about.

Tulip Grove is another very good option.

Yorktown was a good suggestion. It feeds into Ogle.

Kenilworth Elementary could work. I have heard good things about it.

Heather Hills Elementary is a TAG school in Bowie. TAG students can then go to Kenmoor Middle's TAG program.

Also be aware that an Elementary school can feed into 2 or 3 different middle schools and high schools. i.e. Woodmore feeds into Tasker, Just and Johnson MS and then feeds into Bowie, Flowers and DuVal.

It is less of an issue in Bowie but quite common in the inner suburbs.

I would add Tulip Grove to your elementary list. Yorktown is also an option, but I am not sure which middle school it feeds into.

Benjamin Tasker in Bowie is on track to become a Talented and Gifted Center (school within a school) so that would be something to consider if you are moving there.

Middle schools are tough all around. Best bets are the French immersion and Montessori programs but you have to enter those in k. Then there is the TAG middle school - Greenbelt middle- but again, it's tough to get a spot. There are some charters, CMIT and CPA, those are just ok. Hyattsville middle and Greenbelt middle (gen pop, not TAG) are ok too. Maybe getting better and better.

Which are the best elementary schools in PG County with a solid middle school feeder. We are parents to a current 4th grader, 1st grader, and soon to be preschooler. Moving from Connecticut to Maryland.
