There are plenty of waves to play in---but it is not like the Atlantic or Pacific. Fine with a boogie board--but not to stand on or surf. However, the beach is much prettier--white and much softer. Water is turquoise.

Walking on the beach is great.

One wave. My 4yo can swim over it with some help. Sometimes none, and when it's raining/windy, it will pick up and look a little closer to the east coast.

Small waves but beautiful sunsets every night.

That's been my experience in Naples. Lovely warm water, nice sand but almost no waves.

I have seen these in Sanibel at Bowmans Beach. Weather/tide dependent of course.

To frolick in? Yes. To surf? No really.

In places like Sanibel, Naples, Marco Island -- are there any waves to play in?
