No I haven't

Brother, at age 65 married the girlfriend he had when he was 19. They were divorced, he for decades. He "found" her by working at it - -systematically tracked-down many of his old girlfriends to see who was available. I don't think they believe in "soul mates", etc, blah-blah-blah, but they get along well, love each other and are glad they reunited.

Also, a relative divorced her husband due to his affair. He married the other woman, regretted it, and came back to wife #1 after a year or two. She took him back and they have remained married and seem happy - this is decades later. I have tremendous respect for her and her family that they have been able to move on and do not hold it over his head. Of course their kids were thrilled to have Mom & Dad back together.

Yes - I've hooked up with old APs - its good and fun and comforting being with an old friend but there is always the reason why it didn't work that makes it not as great as it once was. Sometimes our memories are a lot sweeter than reality.

Was she an AP? If so, how can you even stand your hypocrisy?

I've divorced and reconnected with an ex boyfriend. Not in a relationship but there is an easy peace in our friendship and connection that is great to have in my case. No old issues. So far it's only good.

I didn't but my neighbors divorced for almost three years then got remarried. Apparently they decided they were better together than apart. They have teenagers so the kids were elementary school age when this went down.

When he said things like he loved me and he would never hurt me it actually made me feel worse. It didn't take long for me to realize I couldn't handle it and didn't want him anymore.

Yes- I had called off our engagement and canceled our April wedding in December. We got back together, eloped, and have been happily married for 12 years.

How did it happen? Do you regret it?
