Lifting weights is way better than cardio.

if you think that would help, then go to 24 hour fitness and do the Spinning/RPM classes.

You will not be on your own. These classes are so much better than doing it on your own. Cost should be like $35 to $40 per month plus once a year fee of $40. do not pay anymore than that. Initiation fee is waived if you do automatic deductions.

But at least try out the classes for a few days BEFORE buying a peloton.

I wish this was effective. I would gladly run/workout 2 hours a day if it meant I could eat and drink whatever I wanted.

+1. I do Orangetheory 3-4x/week and [solidcore] 2x/week. If the scale moves, it moves up not down.

If he's been at this 40+ years he's probably out of date on what works. I mean this kindly OP - do your own research on the newer studies. Diet changes will go a lot farther in helping you, endless cardio will not do it.

Duh! I know this, it is both exercise and diet but based upon my diet (which he deemed fine) MY DOCTOR who I think knows best suggest exercise over diet modification. I trust this man who has been at this for 40+ years thank you very much.

You aren't very smart.

Change your diet. Weight loss is 80% diet.

I am also interested in Peloton but I really love spinning. Do you like spin? Have you tried it? It's a big investment if you discover you hate spinning.

Change in diet, not exercise, will help you lose weight.

I like the concept of this as I am not one to go to SC or gyms for that matter, need to lose about 25 lbs and the only thing I do now is play tennis but he suggest 3x a week.
