We got into one of these schools at 20 months. I know other kids didn’t get in after being on the waitlist a similar amount of time. I think showing a specific interest in Spanish made a difference for us. We only would move to a Spanish immersion preschool and said that when we were touring and applying.

Starting to think about a more formal environment for my one year old in the next year or so. He'll be close to four by the time he goes to DC preschool and is in a Spanish in home daycare now, so was thinking of getting on the waitlist at Estrellitas and DeColores as he seems well suited temperamentally to Montessori. Anyone know the likelihood of non-siblings getting into the program at either around 20 months or 32 months? Any other Spanish and/or montessori preschool type programs you'd recommend in the Petworth/Brightwood/Takoma/Fort Totten areas?
