This is really NBD, unless you treat it like one.

And for a boy, maturing and hitting a growth spurt on the early side, rather than later, is usually not a bad thing. Tough to be the 4'9'' scrawny boy with no signs of puberty is middle school. Especially gym.

My 12 yr old wishes for 4'9" yet he runs faster than any other boy in his class. He is scrawny too but he is always picked first for teams in gym.

If he's old enough to start growing a mustache he's old enough to start shaving it if he doesn't like it.

Studies show hitting puberty on the late side means a kid will have better growth overall.

My side of the family men are over 6 feet. My husband's family they are 5'9"-5'10". Hoping the kids hit growth spurts on later side.

Very few men use straight razors. Very few.

Right. I meant not a disposable razor. No 12 year old needs a close shave, and it's a great way to get a bloody face. (BTW-- I started DD on an electric razor too, so no sexism. Just easier for newbies).

My son has had dark peach fuzz since he was around 9 or 10 years old. I bought an electric trimmer on Amazon and use it on his "mustache" every other month or two.

Just give him a disposable razor and tell him to have at it.

Funny, a mom I know was just talking about this with her son. Same thing except he was 11. She thought of it as peach fuzz but it bothered him. He took dad's razor and shaved it off himself.

So I think you should just teach him how to shave it properly if he doesn't like the hair. Why wait?

Why wouldn't you just have him shave? What it too young about 12? His body obviously doesn't think it's too young to have a mustache.

Waited until my son complained and taught him how to shave it. Now he shaves it about once a month which is how often it is meeded

It seems so young to shave. What do people do about this? It's becoming more noticeable and he doesn't like it- not sure if he should shave it or what. Any advice?
