Mini is good. Personally, I hate the cupcake tradition - my friend brought in Elmo cupcakes last month - these huge red frosting monstrosities. If I were a daycare teacher, I'd be so annoyed that I have to deal with a bunch of huge sticky cupcakes. And all that nasty red frosting - yuck. Thank goodness for mini cupcakes - a much more reasonable portion for a child (or any human, really), and easier to serve and eat as well.

Mini cupcakes are just fine. Really, having a cupcake on a friend's birthday won't make a child's obese! Also, no need to get those yummy ones from Georgetown cupcake.. Just mini ones from Giant/Safeway is fine!

Check with the daycare. They may have guidelines and know about any allergies in the class.
Our nursery school does fruit "cakes"/"cupcakes" which they make with the kids with the fruits the parents bring for the birthday.

My son has an egg allergy and can't eat baked goods. Might be worth checking if any kids in the class are in the same boat.

Thanks! I did get the TJ ones!

Those are so good!

Thanks, that's what I was thinking.. one would be okay. It is supposed to be a party and a treat, so I didn't want to get something like their normal snacks.

My daughter is having a daycare party next week. Would mini cupcakes be OK to bring or should i select something healthier? The items must be store bought and nut-free. I know I'm over thinking this but I'm wondering if all of the kids parents would be okay with sweets like cupcakes.
