That's the way a lot of places around here work. Supply meet demand. It sucks but it is a pittance in the scheme of child care costs if that place could be a good option for you.

I am familiar, have other children and have paid waitlist fees, just never that amount.

The cost of infant/toddler care in the this area is astronomical for what you get. Most centers have a fair amount of turnover and the "teachers" tend to be young girls who aren't really teaching anything. Overworked babysitters. We are at Discovery Time in Del Ray. They have 2 day and 3 day options.

Frog Pond Learning Center and some BH facilities in Alexandria area will allow that.

Northeast stars montesori has a part-time schedule. You can do MWF or TH full day.

You will probably need to find another family to take the other days. I know there are, or at least were, one or two splits like that at our daycare. But it can be hard to find a match, and centers probably prefer one kid who is FT, so you may have issues if there is competition for the spots.

Yes. Seems like a lot of the part-time options are from 9-12pm

Not interested in a KinderCare-(bad experiences there) or half day program. Alexandria area. Does anyone know of any place I can try?
