Heck yes. 4 days is nothing. I've pulled mine out for more than a week to visit Rome.

If it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to go some significant place overseas, or to go to a family reunion that may not ever happen again, sure. Disney? No.

Sure. My fourth grader competes in an activity nationally and may compete internationally. Our school is accommodating as long as we tell them which days he'll miss school so his teachers can make sure he keeps up with his schoolwork.

Yes and have done so myself. No regrets.
Once they get to middle school it's game over so if you want to take trips that require a few days of school missed do it now!
