Done it before when he was younger, and would rather do that than bed train him. We'll check and see if every place we're staying has a crib, but if not, it's coming and I expect it to be as much of a minor issue as it was when we went last year.

Also be sure to check where the airports are in relation to the cities you're going to - one way they cut costs is by using random airports which are far away requiring expensive taxis to get to them or the use of special Ryanair buses which may go at inconvenient times. See Arlanda airport (for Stockholm) for example.
