Duly noted but those set-ups are outside the norm. This comment feels like it's trying to invalidate the question, which is obnoxious.

Love is same. How one expresses it is different.

Q
I think lucky kids who get two moms. Dads love their kids but I'm not sure it's the same fierce protective unquestioned and unconditional love as mothers.

Also, a father's love diminishes if the mother dies. He will look for a new woman upon whom to focus his love, and if she has children, he will love them as an extension of her. I learned this the hard way. And saw it in others' experiences. There is a reason more men than women have trouble maintaining relationships with kids after a divorce or death of the other parent.

This is so accurate, at least in my experience also. HER kids always came first.

Women hold together families.
Men would never know their cousins or grandparents if it weren't for women. Both sexes bring their own strengths to the world .

I don't know. I'm a single (widowed) dad and I love my little girl with all my heart.

Yes their love manifests itself differently because they're different people. I'm a lesbian mom and I love my children differently than my wife does. We both love them equally, but we show express it in different ways.

My husband and I have a fairly traditional setup...attorney and SAHM. I think we do have our son slightly differently but I really do believe equally.

Depends on the parent. Lots of fathers ditch their kids. Not many mothers do.

I think they are stereotypically different. There are exceptions to the rules, of course.

I think it's good for kids to have both.

Different, of course. Case in point:

Do you think they are the same or different?
