About 3 weeks after we met. Proposed after 8 months and I moved from overseas to be with him. Been married for 18 years.

We both knew it, but neither one said anything. Then something very traumatic happened after a year and a half and we had this Star Wars moment: Him: "I love you" Hysterical me "I know".

Six days after our first date he said it in a spontaneous text going into a meeting. Called me as soon as he could to make sure he didn't freak me out and to make sure I knew that he meant it. That night he repeated it looking in my eyes, and I said it too. At that point, I asked him not to propose for a couple weeks, though, because that might be a bit much for me.

After 6 months. He kept saying "I like you". Eventually I told him to tell me properly or not to say anything at all because it was ridiculous being told "I like you". lol.

I was in love with him by week 3, when we became exclusive. But didn't say anything because I knew he didn't feel that way about me yet. At 7 months, I had a talk with him about not waiting forever for him to say it. He wasn't sure he felt that way and needed more time. (He was being cautious due to divorce). I gave myself an internal deadline of 9 months before I bailed (he had no idea).

At 8.5 months, as I got off the couch to go to the bathroom, we were laughing about something and he said "and that's why I love you". He seemed shocked that he said it. I was shocked that he said it. I froze for a moment then continued to the bathroom. LOL A few days later he said it while we were laying in bed.

After maybe 3-4 weeks of dating. It seemed really fast, but I loved him, too (as much as you can love someone after knowing them for a month-- ha! Maybe it was more like we were "in love" and spending lots of time in the sack.). Married close to 14 years now.

He said it when I walked into a glass door on our first date. He didn't mean to say it and it kind of startled both of us, and we laughed it off.

Head over heels in love since day 1. We both moved cross country to DC so we could be together one month after we met (didn't live together thought). It took him 9 months and no cajoling. He said later that he thought I knew he loved me, which of course I did.

One month after we got together. Spontaneous, when we were in bed. I didn't say it back because I felt it was too soon and I was uncertain, and he understood. He knew by 6mo. that he wanted to marry me. He said he waited another 8mo. because he didn't want to scare me off.

He told me he loved me in a drunk text. I ignored it. And then he'd slip I love you into random drunk moments.

I then told him I loved him. He said he loved me too. I believed it.
