You need to drink 12+ glasses when pregnant, especially if you are constipated! Be sure to spread it out throughout the day... don't chug 3-4 glasses in the afternoon once you realize you're thirsty. Ideally you drink 4-5 glasses before noon. Also try a mug of regular coffee in the morning. I was very constipated and had a somewhat successful enema while on Colace, like you. But I had pain and a sort of constant pressure or urge to go. I did another enema and some milk of magnesia and finally was able to clear myself out. Not that I have somewhat reset, I'm taking a probiotic and taking small amount of Raisin Bran, prune juice, etc b
