Not only are they at outlet malls they are in every TJ Maxx, Marshalls etc.

Plus every department store carries his stuff now, I feel like he kind of took the panache out of his brand when he went mass production.

OP-FWIW, have you ever looked at what is sold in the outlet malls and TjMaxx? It is obviously a lower line produced for those markets. The leather quality and stitching is terrible compared to what is sold in the real stores and say, Bloomingdales. I honestly thought they were fakes the first time I went in.

I agree. Coach logo-less purses are more appropriate for a 30+ professional.

I've hated him since Projeft Runway, and his designs seem highly unoriginal and aspirational.

MK is trendy. Trendy is not high fashion. It's mall fashion. Just depends on your taste.

I have a black MK soft leather laptop bag that is amazing. No labels unless you get up close and look at the zipper. It held up for over two years and still looks brand new.

While I wouldn't buy MK for myself, I would not look down on someone for buying/wearing MK, either. You buy what you like, not what others find pleasing.

I think you get better quality in that price point with a Kate spade or Tory burch bag.

Just so basic & over-branded.

I think Michael Kors bags do seem more appropriate for s younger demographic, but then I haven't seen the ones without the logos all over or the big logo on the zipper. If you have, then those could be great.

I'm a 35yo professional, and mom who does her best to look neat and put together. I'm a DC transplant from NYC, so I feel I've had a bit of an edge on staying more fashionable than frumpish into the mom years. Purses aren't my thing, but nicely made leather goods are. I agree with the value of a nice stylish leather bag, but my upper enjoyment:value of it tops out around $300-500. All that is to say, I'm surprised by the dislike of Michael Kors on this board. I'm not buying ones with the logo all over, just solid leather in various classic shapes and sizes. Have I actually aged out of this brand without realizing it?
