Are you the sister who keeps posting this same issue every couple of months? If so, by now you should realize that DCUM can't help you, because we've all tried, but you keep making the same comments over and over, and over and over, every couple of months. Get over yourself already.

Go volunteer in a soup kitchen that feeds the homeless, and see people who have real problems, then count your blessings.

My sister's have straight up told me that I'm the pretty one, and I agree with the assessment. But I don't know what the point of comparison is- focus on yourself, not on trying to beat someone you're related to. Your relationship with your sister should be one of love and support- if one is the prettiest, well- them's the breaks. They got dealt a different set of cards than you did. That doesn't mean you can't still win at the game of life (speaking figuratively- you should never compete with a sister, thats a recipe for abject disaster)

Stop the comparison, and start appreciating what you have.

Why don't you start by looking at yourself in the mirror and pointing out the features you love? The line of your nose, the color of your eyes, the shape of your lips, etc.

Focus on gratitude for what you have and I guarantee that will turn into confidence and people will pick up on it and perceive you as more beautiful.

Do people really feel this way about their sisters? Mine is younger, gorgeous, successful, sociable, perfect. And I'm insanely proud of her and love her so much.

So develop skills and talents that you have. Find people who have those skills and talents because they will love you for what matters. Most of us don't turn heads.

OP when she is 48 no one will look at her anymore and she will have a complete crisis of confidence because her entire self has been based on this attracting people persona.

Believe me I really know what I'm talking about.

Things have changed over time for my sisters and I. The formerly gorgeous one has gained weight in her 40s and no longer looks like she once did. I was never thin but I have maintained my same weight over the past two decades because I exercise. Just wait. Things could even out.

Pretty doesn't equal happy.

Are we taking a 7 versus a 10 or a 3 versus a 10.

In my experience, weight plus makeup and dress can erase almost every gap between siblings. There just isn't that much genetic difference.
