Subject: Late Christmas Gift for Teacher or let it go
Who would not want a gift, even if it's late? Definitely take it in, OP! It will be a pleasant surprise for the teacher on the first day back and will probably brighten her day.

She will not think twice about it being late. She will greatly appreciate the gift and the card. Give it and don't feel embarrassed.

My kids have done that. I always send it in after break and write "Happy New Year!" on the envelope or card. Not a big deal.

For the last day of school, my son had made a card for his teacher with a $25 gift card in it - and he didn't give it to her. I was just going through his backpack and there it was. He is in 4th grade. Would it be strange of me to bring in the card to her the first day back after the holiday break? I'm sort of embarrassed. It's a big class of 30 kids, so maybe she won't notice? Ugh. What would you do?
