I wanted kids ever since I was 16. Loved the idea of cuddling and teaching children.

20 years later, I still love this idea and love spending time with my kids. I'm not part of the group that wishes they spent less time with their children.

Always wanted them. DH always wanted them. We have one here and one on the way. He's a great dad we're really happy.

You don't hear the people like me on here, realize that this is where people come to talk about their problems, not their accomplishments.

My daughter is wonderful, seeing her grow is amazing. If I hadn't had kids my life would have felt incomplete. Its not for everyone obviously, but for me, life is about family.

I always wanted kids. Having them has been the most rewarding experience of my entire life. I love being a mom. I love seeing my husband be a father.

I don't regret it at all, but I really miss my old life sometimes--ok often! I definitely didn't feel "empty" or like something was missing.

I've always loved kids. I always knew I would have kids in my life whether they were my own or a mentor/Big Sister situation. I would have been happy to adopt, but my husband (also a kid person) wanted biological children.

I felt like I would regret it later in life if I didn't. And DH wanted kids.

I haven't simply because I enjoy my life as it is.

Because I wanted to stay married to my husband.

The pull out method failed on us six months after getting married. I honestly did not think I wanted children.

It was a total accident (BC failed) but it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I had kids because that is what life is about, reproducing.

Simple question.

Various threads made me ponder it. The one about wanting to spend less time with kids. All the wives complaining that their husbands don't spend enough time with kids.

Do you just want someone to take care of you in old age? Did you just have kids because your wife (or husband) wanted to and you really didn't care either way? Is it your life's ambition? Did you get bored with your spouse and need to introduce another family member to fill the silence at the dinner table?
